Our rotating Star Map shows you the positions of circumpolar stars at any time of the night, on any day of the year.

Upon purchasing this design, you will be sent the files to download, print off on A4 (we recommend the thickest paper/card your printer can take), cut out the templates then assemble the parts together.

Once assembled, simply turn the wheel so the time of day lines up with the month and see the arrangement of circumpolar stars around Polaris. You can also use the design to tell the time; simply line up how the stars look in the sky and read off the time of day.

The red stars in the map show constellations, while the yellow stars are part of a collection of 58 official navigational stars whose co-ordinates are shared in the Star Calculator, which allows you to predict where any star will be at any time, from anywhere in the world.
