HOW IT
WORKS
Tidal Compass prints are beautiful works of art that share practical knowledge of tides.
The outer (navy blue) ring shows the tide times at each moon phase; a fascinating quirk of tides is that at the Full Moon (and other phases) high tide will always be around the same time. The inner (white) ring then shows you the direction tidal streams flow every hour before and after high tide, clearly displaying the cycle of them speeding up and slowing down.
With this information you can then predict the tides and streams by simply looking at the moon!
